The Ashtabula Port Authority has a long list of fishing charter companies that you can reserve with. This is the most complete list of charters available so we are sure you will find one that is just right for you and your crew.

Ashtabula County features some amazing covered bridges. The bridges are so great that they have created a trail that allows you to check in with your phone at each bridge and win prizes. There are 19 bridges on the trail and every one is worth a look.

Grand River Valley Wineries
Ashtabula County is home to 32 wineries. Many offer tours, dining, live entertainment, and special events. You will even find some pet friendly venues. The Geneva Grape Jamboree in September even has grape stomping!

Lighthouse Restoration Society
The Ashtabula Lighthouse, built in 1905 is watched over by the Lighthouse Restoration Society. The lighthouse overlooks the Ashtabula Harbor and is best viewed from Lake Shore Park on the mainland.

Parks
Ashtabula has 2 large parks right on the edge of Lake Erie: Lake Shore Park and Walnut Beach Park. Both are within a 10 minute drive from Harbor House and offer tons of amenities for the whole family. Lake Shore Park holds a Classic Car show every Sunday throughout the summer. Walnut Beach Park is a great place for hiking and bird watching, that is, if you're tired of sitting in the sun on that sandy beach

Rentals on the Water
Looking to rent pontoon boats, kayaks, paddle boards, or hydro bikes? Ashtabula has that! Maybe you have your own equipment. We can show you where to go to get your kayak on the water. Looking for a fun, yet relaxing ride on the water? We know a place that has swan paddle boats too!

Night Life
Night clubs in and around Ashtabula are plentiful. Catch the comedy tour at the Cloven Hoof. Get your dance on at Yankies with live DJ. Have fun with some karaoke at the Swiss Chalet night club. That's just to name a few.

Archery
Geneva State Park, which sits on 698 acres of land, has an archery range just off Padanarum Rd with a raised platform and multiple targets. Bring your own equipment.

Snowmobiling
If Winter is your vacation season of choice, the Western Reserve Greenway Trail is a 43 mile trail that is used year round. In the winter, snowmobiling is only allowed at the northern side of the trail in Ashtabula County. You can find the start of the trail at Herzog Rotary Park.

The Ashtabula Arts Center focuses on theater, music, dance, and visual arts. Be sure to check their calendar for events during your stay. They even offer workshops and 1 day events that you can register for and particiapate in.

There are multiple public hunting grounds in Ohio. If you are looking for a nearby hunting spot, Dorset Wildlife Area is close by. Be sure to download their map and review all regulations before hunting.
